Charles Scalise received his undergraduate degree from Truman State University in 1985 and his juris doctorate from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1988. While attending the University of Iowa College of Law, he was published author in the Iowa Law Review and later served as an associate manager editor for that journal.

Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Scalise practiced for 20 years in Florida. The focus of his practice has been civil litigation with an emphasis in employment law. During his career, Mr. Scalise has handled claims for both employees and employers involving the ADA, ADEA, Title VII, the Equal Pay Act, FLMA, Florida’s Civil Rights Act, FLSA, Florida’s Whistleblower Act and other federal civil rights laws. In recent years Mr. Scalise has focused his practice to representing employees with overtime and minimum wage claims, including collective and class actions, arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Mr. Scalise has presented lectures on topics and issues involving the FLSA to professional and legal groups.
